I have always had a love of travel. Even from a very early age I was inquisitive of other countries other cultures. I have been fortunate enough to be able to indulge my passion and would like to share some of my photographs and experiences with you.
My other great interests, besides writing, are history and cooking. Wherever possible I like to combine the three. So sitting in sight of an ancient ruin, eating the local cuisine, and chatting with the locals is my idea of a good time.
When lucky enough to go overseas I travel with my husband, and if we are really fortunate, my dearest friend and kindred spirit and her husband tag along.

As I’ve said before, I have a passion for travel and try to visit places that have special meaning for me like Green Gables. Anne of Green Gables is a best selling novel by Canadian author Lucy Maud Montgomery that has delighted readers for decades and perhaps was the catalyst for my writing career.
Lucy Montgomery used to visit her family at Green Gables on Prince Edward Island and it was the backdrop for her novels. You may well ask what that has to do with a romance writer? Well, I didn’t start out as a writer, in fact it took a lot of years before I actually put pen to paper, but I have been an avid reader for as long as I can remember.
As a teenager I absorbed all the classics. Little Women, Jane Ayre, Wuthering Heights, Pride and Prejudice—too many to name. As you can see they all have romance as the common thread. I was a little younger when I read Anne of Green Gables and instantly fell in love with the orphan Anne Shirley, Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert, the unforgettable Gilbert Blythe, and of course Diana Barry, Anne’s kindred spirit.
The characters came to life as I turned the pages. I laughed with Anne, cried with her and rejoiced in her successes. Anne fought her attraction for Gilbert, but love and romance won out in the end, and I got my first taste of happily ever after.
When I holidayed in Canada, I just had to visit Charlottetown and of course Green Gables and tour the house where Lucy Montgomery had spent time. It brought back so many memories. I am grateful to all these wonderful romance writers who instilled in me the love of reading without which I may never have written my first novel Desire Unleashed.

I was lucky enough to spend Christmas 2015 in England with family, and it was wonderful to revisit "The Olde Manse" a pub I worked in on my first trip to England years ago. So many memories and Bourton-On-The-Water is such a pretty and friendly place, I just love it!!
And who doesn't love BATH? What an awesome place to visit. Those Romans certainly knew their stuff!!
Strawberry Fields — Liverpool - not quite what I was expecting but visiting all the places The Beatles sang about and seeing where they grew up was amazing.
